The role & career opportunities

Data Engineer — Data Architecture & Industrialisation

The Data Engineer designs, builds and runs the platforms that collect, store, transform and expose company data. They choose the right storage (SQL, NoSQL, data lake, lakehouse), develop ingestion and transformation pipelines, orchestrate batch and real-time processing, and ensure the security, performance and resilience of the whole. It is the technical foundation that analysts, data scientists and AI teams rely on.

Objectives & skills

Learning objectives & target skills

  • • Design a data storage and processing architecture suited to the need: SQL, NoSQL, data warehouse, data lake and lakehouse.
  • • Model, query and optimise relational and NoSQL databases.
  • • Build ingestion and integration of heterogeneous sources: files, APIs, connectors.
  • • Transform large volumes with Python and PySpark, and industrialise ETL/ELT pipelines orchestrated in Microsoft Fabric.
  • • Process real-time streams and monitor, secure and optimise a Data platform in production.
  • • Progressively build the Data platform of the ORVEA Group, a running case based on a retailer with deliberately imperfect data.
  • • Prepare to validate block BC01 of RNCP40875 and for the Microsoft DP-900 and DP-700 certifications.

Who we're looking for

  • • A career-change project towards data and data engineering roles.
  • • Technical, scientific or IT backgrounds: developers, administrators, analysts, technicians.
  • • An interest in logic, databases and automation.
  • • Ready to follow an intensive and demanding pace over three months.

Programme - 57 days / ~3 months

A continuous, progressive path designed to take you from technical foundations through to a complete professional project presented before a panel. Each block builds on the previous one; the day-by-day detail of every module (objectives, content, assessment) is provided when the programme begins.

Phase 1 · Foundations

Build solid foundations and frame your career project.

Phase 2 · Digital core

Understand the key issues in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and data.

Phase 3 · Understand & structure data

Understand the data lifecycle and learn to structure data so it can be used.

Phase 4 · Prepare & make data reliable

Turn raw data into reliable, usable and governed data.

Phase 5 · Design the architecture

Build the technical foundations of a high-performing, scalable Data platform.

Phase 6 · Integrate & orchestrate

Collect, transform and automate data flows.

Phase 7 · Industrialise & monitor

Run Data platforms in production, in real time and over the long term.

Phase 8 · Demonstrate & validate

Build the portfolio and prepare for the jury.

FINISH LINE

A new professional life.

Job-ready, prepared to validate block BC01 of the RNCP40875 qualification and for the Microsoft DP-900 and DP-700 certifications, and supported into employment.

The KLE Formations difference: training built around practice

A running project throughout the programme, from the very first modules, lets you both absorb what you learn in class and gradually build a complete project inspired by a real business challenge.

It is this progressively built project that forms the basis of the final defence before the jury.

Support and follow-up after the programme

Support and follow-up after the programme

Far more than a training provider: individual follow-up for 1 to 6 months to embed your learning and consolidate your skills within the company.

Our commitment to quality

A quality commitment recognised by Qualiopi certification, compliant with the French National Quality Framework.

Funding

Retraining or upskilling has a cost - but rarely one you bear alone. Several schemes can step in and, in most cases, they can be combined.

The principle: your status determines your entitlements

No funding is automatic. The right scheme depends above all on your situation (employee, jobseeker, self-employed, public sector worker). Most can be combined and cover the bulk of the cost.

Funding your training in cybersecurity, AI or data

Good news if you’re moving into these professions: KLE Formations programmes tick the right boxes.

Our programmes aim for a level 7 professional qualification and our organisation is Qualiopi-certified, which opens access to vocational training funding schemes.

Do I have what it takes to become Data Engineer ?

Tick what sounds like you. No commitment - motivation matters as much as your starting point.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this programme for?

It is designed for people changing careers, junior IT profiles and jobseekers who want to move into the field. The programme alternates targeted theory, guided workshops, realistic scenarios and team exercises, to build genuine professional reflexes - not just another line on a CV.

Do I already need to be good at IT?

No, but you need to be comfortable with a computer, curious, rigorous and ready to work intensively. We start with the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced scenarios.

Does the programme guarantee a job at the end?

The programme is designed for employability (professional project, capstone, targeted career opportunities), but no job can be guaranteed: the outcome depends on your attendance, your progress and the state of the market. Our teams support you in your job search.

How do I check whether I'm eligible for funding?

Get in touch describing your background and your situation (CPF, France Travail, OPCO, Transitions Pro…). An adviser will check your eligibility and work out your remaining cost with you, subject to conditions.
